Kate Hudson has a talent as an actor. She is best known for her role of Penny Lane from the Hollywood movie Almost Famous. Her nomination for the Academy Award was her most famous role. Her birthplace was a clan of movie stars and seemed to be born to shine in the spotlight. Her mother, Goldie Hawn, is an established film actor, while her father, Bill Hudson, is comedian. Since her early years she was an avid performer and would grab every opportunity to perform on stage. When she was a kid her parents taught her dancing classes, and she took classes at the Santa Monica Playhouse. In 1996, she was given the opportunity to play a character on the TV drama Party of Five. The show was a success and she was admitted to New York University, however Kate Hudson was more interested in pursuing a career in show business, rather than obtaining an education. After acting in a few small films her audition was for the role that would be her biggest breakthrough in the field. She was chosen to play Penny Lane in the comedy-drama film Almost Famous. Despite its film that failed at the box office it was received a favourable critiques from critics, and it established Kate as an actress in the American film industry.
