Lee Roy Selmon's history combines the benefits of football scholarship and community service. First family, he's the youngest of nine children of Lucious Selmon and Jessie raised on a farm at Eufala, Oklahoma. Two football. He is among the three brothers that played for Oklahoma. The three brothers were all All-Americans. Lucious Jr. Dewey was an All-Star for the whole 1973 season. Lee Roy won the Outland and Lombardi Awards as the nation's most effective lineman. In his time as the Oklahoma's quarterback of choice and Sooners' starting quarterback, they went 32-1-1 and won two national championships. As an National Football Foundation Scholarship-Athlete, Selmon received a scholarship for the third year in 1975. Selmon received his bachelor's diploma in education. Lee Roy dedicated ten volunteer times a week in his time in college. In Tampa where he played, he joined the Buccaneers for nine seasons before becoming an all-pro. Additionally, he started an entrepreneurial career. The first job he had was an Account Relation Officer at First Florida Bank, Tampa. In the past, he worked previously for the Special Olympics Easter Seals Baptist Church Ronald McDonald House United Negro College Fund South Florida Institute Black Life Hall of Fame Bowl Committee. In 1982, the Junior Chamber of Commerce recognized Lee Roy as being among 10 of America's most outstanding young males. Lee Roy weighed 256 lbs and stood at a height of 6-2. In his time at college, he commanded the team of 1975. He joined at the University of South Florida as an associate director of athletics. In 1993, the College Football Hall of Fame named him as a member in the year the year 1988. GTE Academic All-America Hall of Fame In 1994. Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1995. The Oklahoma City Chapter of the National Football Foundation in 1989 awarded the Distinguished American Award to his parents Mr. and Mrs.. Lucious Selmon Sr. Henry Bellmon was the Oklahoma Governor, who awarded this award.
